Information Literacy Week Started!


 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Information Literacy Week at the University of Salford began yesterday evening with a launch event attended by Professor Huw Morris and a number of internal and external guest speakers. These included:
  • Drew Whitworth, Programme Director, MA: Digital Technologies at Manchester University
  • Usman Ali, National Union of Students Vice President and former University of Salford Student Union President
  • Ricky Chotai, current University of Salford Student Union President
Throughout the week there will be a number of events for staff and students, including a series of student focus groups for students to share their thoughts on issues such as information literacy, referencing, Turnitin and the library induction. The focus groups will be held on Wednesday 16th March 12:00-14:00 at the three library sites:
  • Clifford Whitworth - Lady Hale Building Room: LH204
  • Allerton Library - Library Seminar Room
  • Adelphi Library - Library Seminar Room
A light lunch will be provided.
